Olympic Committee of Serbia
The Olympic Committee of Serbia is a non-governmental and non-profit
sports organisation that belongs to the Olympic Movement and observes
the fundamental principles of the international Olympic Movement
expounded in the Olympic Charter and the World Anti-Doping Code.
The main aims of the Olympic Committee of Serbia are the promotion of
the ideas of Olympism and the development of sports in general, the
development and safeguarding of the Olympic Movement in Serbia and the
representation of the country at the world, continental and regional
competitions patronised by the International Olympic Committee.
The Olympic Committee of Serbia continues the tradition of the Serbian
Olympic Club (Committee) established in 1910 and the Yugoslav Olympic
Board (Committee) which succeed it in 1919, and the Olympic Committee of
Serbia and Montenegro which existed from 3 April 2003 to 8 June 2006.
